VANCOUVER, BC - More than 200 representatives from
international news wire services, photo agencies, newspapers,
internet sites and non-rights holding broadcast organizations are
expected to attend the Vancouver 2010 World Press Briefing
scheduled for November 18 to 21, at the Vancouver Convention and
Exhibition Centre, Suite 200, 999 Canada Place.

The Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) has planned this event
to further propel its propaganda towards a global audience:
masking the detestation and mass local resistance towards the
2010 Winter Olympics. The Olympic Resistance Network (ORN) plans
to counter this attempt by claiming November 18th - 21st as 'Days
of Anti-Olympic Action'!

"The 2010 Games have already wreaked havoc on our communities and
destroyed traditional unceded indigenous territories. The people
feeling the negative effects of these actions are opposing this
injustice and are calling for mass anti-olympic resistance against all
Olympic venues and sponsors!" -Mary Claremont, Vancouver resident

The ORN takes this opportunity to announce plans to disrupt VANOC's
February 2009 Olympiad celebrations. We are calling for a mass
convergence to shutdown this event and further our resistance against
the games.

We invite all community members to help send the message to the world
that the people demand an end to the oppression and corporate greed
that are the 2010 winter games. We are calling for a wide range of
actions by as many groups and individuals as possible to fuel upcoming
convergence. If every group covers an Olympic issue in their own realm
and or hits one out of a vast number of Olympic sites around the city
this should take VANOC's glory away once again. We call for a wide
range of actions by different groups and individuals to demonstrate to
the world media that active opposition the 2010 circus exists and
grows more powerful with each passing day.


So be creative! Let's turn this media circus away from the corporate
circus!

On Monday morning at 4 am I saw a banner hanging from the Paisley and Hanlon intersection. That's the place where the two road blockades were made this year. It reads "Police in Guelph, Six nations, Tyendinaga. Oppression Everywhere."

Does it have anything to do with the rumors that the new police station being built at Tyendinaga will come in this week? Or is it just another anti-police message for the Guelph Police?

Attack on CP Rail!
2008-10-13

In an attempt to cause a shitload of economic damage to the infrastructure of the CP rail main-line, we cut down two telephone poles across the tracks just to the north of their main intermodal yard outside Toronto. A pile of fallen trees was ignited with gasoline across the tracks, and we molotov’d one of those weird grey box things that look pretty important and are full of electrical shit. We also tied copper wire across the tracks to signal the blockage so no one would get hurt. That was way more exciting than a turkey dinner!
It’s shit cool that all you people been bringing the ruckus all over the country to mess with the Olympics and its Spirit Train business. That exhibition of nationalism and colonization has got all the rich motherfuckers greasin’ the pockets of development tycoons. Sure this shit’s been loomin’ round all our hoods for a while, but you throw in the Olympic Games and crackers like Bob Rennie can’t get enough. This spectacle is quickening the pace of yet another yuppie takeover. It aint gonna stop if we ask it nicely; it didn’t before the Olympics and sure won’t after!
For us the Spirit Train is every train, they’re all spreading “Olympic spirit”, or more like the spirit of capitalism: construction materials, military equipment, useless consumer products, tourists... Fuck it all. Every ride on the rails is a ride for the same invasion that’s been goin on since the railway was built to colonize this whole place. This rail system has been developed and is utilized to serve our exploiters and enemies. As long as the exploiters exist, infrastructure will always be their weapon. So we wanna destroy it all... their railway, highways, cameras, telecommunications, it’s all serving the masters and their police. We’re not interested in expressing our dissatisfaction at a symbolic part of the problem. We want to actually dismantle the whole system and hit these cracker-ass-capitalists where it hurts. It’s not just the Spirit Train; it’s every train, the tracks and the social structure they maintain!
This is solidarity with all the comrades raisin’ hell wherever they live. Keep the struggle burning locally, and your solidarity reaches globally. This chaos was for the warriors everywhere who are still facing charges for their involvement in acts of resistance quite like this one. It don’t matter how hard they come down on us cause there are too many of us waiting to explode. Let’s show’em what we can do and aim for our actual objective!

Anti-yuppie action, anti-fascist action, anti-Olympics action, Tyendinaga and Six Nations solidarity action

During the Morning rush hour on September 2nd, a group of anarchists blocked the southbound lanes of the Hanlon (Highway 6) at Paisley using flaming tires and branches. A banner was dropped from the trainbridge over the highway reading: "Repression in Six Nations, Repression at home, Solidarity." As we left, a copper wire and burning tires were set on the train tracks.

We acted in solidarity with the three native comrades from Six Nations arrested on Monday morning, September 1st at the occupation of Kingspan development site in Brantford.

On Saturday September 6, nine Mcdonald's and a Future Shop's toilets were cemented shut.
